Meeting Information

Our meetings are generally held the second Tuesday of each month. There are some exceptions for holidays and other events. Each meeting is broken into two sessions.

The first session is the Technology session. This session, which begins at 5:30, is a technology introduction session. In the past, we have covered SQL Server, .NET, and other technologies.

The second session is the General meeting and begins at 6:30 pm. This session is dedicated to topics specific to Visual FoxPro and development in general. In past months we have discussed Intellisense, the Toobox, the Task Pane, legal issues, UML, Crystal Reports, and other general topics.

Pizza is delivered about 6:30 and we ask for a $5.00 donation to help cover the costs of pizza and hosting for this web site. We sometimes do giveaways. In the past, attendees have won great Microsoft games, t-shirts, flying disks, a copy of Office XP Professional, and more. You must be present to win.

All meetings are held at 3M Health Information Systems, 575 West Murray Boulevard, Murray. UT. Directions: From I-15, take the 5300 South Exit and head west. Turn North at the first stop light on the west side of the freeway. Go one block. 3M HIS will be on the left. View Map

Members get an email notification of meetings approximately one week and then again a couple of days before each meeting.

It does this by making it easy to COM enable the WinForm, providing hooks to pass data between VFP and .Net, and ways to handle events.
Attendees will learn:

  • How to call a Winform from VFP
  • How to pass data between Winforms and VFP
  • How to handle events
  • How to create custom ActiveX controls to host on VFP forms
  • How to host WPF (XAML) in a Winform then call it from VFP

Possible Upcoming Meeting Topics

- .Net application with no wizards
- Speech APIs with VFP
- .Net application start to finish
- EDI solutions with .Net
